bunionette tailor’s bunion

I have a bunionette (Tailor’s Bunion), but I have little pain. Is surgery still an option?
I’m a sixteen year old girl, and as told from the title, I have a bunionette. It is located on the right foot. It’s VERY noticeable, but it’s not very painful. It’s just sensitive when touched. I’m seeing a podiatrist on December 11th, but I’m unsure if I need surgery or not. I’m afraid that if nothing is done, it will gradually get painful. Is it better to treat it with surgery now and get it over with, or can it be treated (as in somehow shrunk!) without surgery?
P.S. I can’t promise all my pairs of shoes will be comfortable-I’m sixteen, remember?
You’re lucky you have it only on one foot. I am the same age and have it on both. I really want surgery so I can finally wear normals shoes because its painful to wear cute ballet flats and heels. It will get worse, I’ve seen some older women’s feet with a tailerbunion and eventually your pinky toe is totally inward. I think you should definitely talk to your podiatrist. Mine recommended surgery as a last resort, but I’ve already tried insoles and pads and nothing works. The surgery doesn’t even last long and isn’t like getting a major surgery, usually they straighten out the protruding bone or they cut off the part of the bone that is protruding.
